Novelty Bells and Wind Chimes.

Our bells are hand-crafted in our foundry using the process of sand casting, an ancient technique which is still widely used in metal work. In sand casting, patterns that resemble the finished piece are turned from wood on a lathe or carved free hand as is appropriate to the form. An impression is then taken in sand from the patterns and the molten bronze is poured into the mold cavity to produce the casting. After grinding and cleaning, a patina is applied and the piece is finished. Each Bell is a hand-crafted work of art.

We are pleased to present our current selection of bells.

Although the photographs will help to describe our work visually, they tell little about the sounds that will be produced. Bells Cast using bronze will ring a musical note. The smaller the bell, the higher the pitch. The larger the bell, the more bass the bitch. Bronze bells may be lathed to ring a perfect musical note. Multiple bronze bells create a musical instrument: A peal of bells consists of 2 to 6 bells. A chime of bells consists of 4 tp 22 bells. A carillon of bells consists of 23 to 49 bells

The bells we offer here may be hung from a porch roof, mounted beside a door or on a post in a garden or even tied to a nearby tree where their distant chimes rise and fade with each passing breeze, creating a joyful presence that is pleasing through all the seasons.

Our bells are durable and intended to be hung outside where we expect them to ring for many years. If they ever prove to be unsatisfactory in any way, they may be returned for repair or replacement at our expense.
